Third Body Found in Poudre River From July 20 Flooding
Larimer County Sheriff's Office released a statement Monday, July 26, 2021, confirming the third body of an adult male had been recovered from the Poudre River around 10 a.m.
Larimer County Sheriff's Office was alerted that a body had been found near mile marker 92, the same mile marker emergency responders discovered a body Sunday, July 25. LCSO emergency services, as well as the LCSO Drone Team, investigators, and the Larimer County Dive Rescue Team responded to the report.
The body was recovered, and the Larimer County Coroner's Office will release the identity of the victim when it is appropriate.
The Larimer County Dive Rescue Team continued search efforts but did not discover anything else. Currently, there are no search operations planned for Tuesday, July 27.
This is the third body that has been found in the Poudre Canyon due to the flooding and mudslide that originated on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. Police only confirmed three missing, however, the identities of those recovered have not been confirmed to be the same as those reported missing.
