The Parks Free Weekends
Most of you know by now I'm a fan of the National Parks. We are so fortunate to live near some of the most beautiful landscapes in the country. In celebration of National Park Week, they'll be free the next two upcoming weekends.
Easter is coming up. Perhaps you'll have family in for the weekend. Earth Day is Saturday, April 22ed. Both are great opportunities to take in a nearby National Park or Monument and do it free of charge.
National Park Week is April 15 to the 23rd. It's the nation's largest celebration of the park's heritage. The first of the free weekends is this Saturday and Sunday. The local weather forecast looks near perfect with sun and clouds and afternoon highs in the mid to upper 70's.
So make your plans. Grab the kids and rediscover the beauty all within an hour or two of Junction. Or if time isn't on your side there's always our closest national treasure.
Have more time? Make the drive over to Utah and revisit the mind-blowing scenery just across the border.
