For riders this is it. I may be new to town, but as a former rider and having worked in rock radio since the 90's, I know how important the local Toy Run is to both those that ride and the children it benefits.

The Western Slope Harley Owners Group 37th Annual Toy Run is Saturday, December 3rd. The ride starts where it starts every year, at Grand Junction Harley Davidson, 2747 Crossroads Blvd. Registration is 9-11am. The Run rolls at noon.

The annual parade of Harleys makes the season bright for kids but could make your trip across town a little slower on Saturday. The Western Slope Harley Owners Group Toy Run is expecting several hundred riders to participate. Riders will head west to 27 Rd. (12th St.) then south to Lincoln Park. Organizers think it'll take about a half hour for all the riders to get through the route and North 12th St. will be closed to all traffic during that time. The destination is Grand Mesa Middle School for the toy drop off.

Then it's over to Warehouse 25sixty- five for some post ride beverages. There's tons of great door prizes, raffle, and live music. It's gonna be a great day for the ride too. The official forecast for Saturday is Sunny and 38. A little chilly, but dry. Strap on the leathers and let's ride.
