North America will be in a short supply of love metal over the next few weeks. That's because Finnish rockers HIM have bowed out of their North American trek due to illness, as frontman Ville Valo has been ordered to rest.

The lineup for this year's Rock Allegiance tour has been announced and it features Volbeat, HIM, All That Remains and Airbourne.

Although HIM’s new disc ‘Tears On Tape’ won’t officially be available until April 30, the band is offering previews of each new song all this week, starting today (April 22).

Finnish love metal titans HIM have just released a new music video for the song 'Tears on Tape.' The song is the title track from HIM's upcoming eighth studio album, and the video for 'Tears on Tape' follows the path of a mysterious symbol drawn by HIM vocalist Ville Valo.

HIM are one of the most popular bands hailing from Finland, and fans are excited for their forthcoming album, ‘Tears on Tape,’ which is due out April 26 via Razor & Tie Records in the States.

HIM continue to give a little bit more as they get closer to the release of their upcoming 'Tears on Tape' album. The band's website, which has featured a clock splash page for a good portion of the past month, has finally changed to feature a horned art piece, complete with the band's "heartagram" logo and an empty box.

It has been a long wait for HIM fans, but the band has released the new track ‘Strange World’ off of their compilation album ‘XX – Two Decades of Love Metal.’

H.I.M. are in the homestretch of getting together their follow-up to 2010's 'Screamworks' album. Singer Ville Valo, who entered the studio with his band in September to begin working on a disc titled 'Tears on Tape,' says they've got a feel for the album that's a blend of "melancholy" and "Motorhead."
