One of the Best Taco Festivals in America Hits Denver in the Summer of 2023

It's nearly impossible to not say, "OMG," when you hear about this festival in Denver devoted solely to tacos. Throw in unlimited samples as well some free drinks, and you have a "must" event for the summer.

Given that the event includes live music and professional lucha libre wrestling, you should prepare yourself for an afternoon of pure entertainment. We can hear you asking, "When? Where? How Much?' for this; why wouldn't you be asking?

Clear your calendar for the third Saturday in August of 2023, because you're going to want to be at Tacolandia. This is not some Fred Armisen/Carrie Brownstein sketch, this the real deal: An afternoon celebrating tacos, Latin-American culture, Denver, and summer.

Get ready, Colorado, because this will be three-hours of jam-packed taco-loving fun. Westword will be hosting this event for the sixth time; an event destined to see its 50th celebration. They'll be bringing in 40+ restaurants with samples of their best dishes, which ticket holders can get unlimited samples of. Wash all that down with the free drink samples that will be there.

You'll also be able to purchase drinks at the well-stocked bars that will be on-site. The VIP package, however, comes with its own private lounge and two free drinks. That VIP ticket also gets you in an hour early and has a private bathroom. It sounds well worth the extra $25.

As part of the entertainment for Tacolandia, you can check out some lucha libre wrestling. Created in Latin-America, lucha libre wrestling involves three-member teams tag-team wrestling; it's characterized by those great masks.
