Slipknot’s ‘All Out Life’ Chosen as WWE NXT Theme Song
Slipknot are making the rounds as their latest single "All Out Life" has been chosen as the new theme song for WWE's weekly show, NXT. The show airs at 8 p.m. every Wednesday on WWE Network. WWE's Triple H announced the song yesterday on Twitter, referring to it as "the new sound of WWE NXT."
WWE also released a new music video for the song featuring NXT Superstars Johnny Gargano, The Undisputed ERA, Shayna Baszler, The War Raiders and more. Watch the new promo video below.
"All Out Life" was released as a single this past October on Halloween. Frontman Corey Taylor said of the song, "Everybody talks about toxic masculinity and toxic fandom these days. For me, it's more about this toxic idea that unless something came out 10 minutes ago, it's not any good, and that bothers me."
He continues, " It's a rallying cry for everyone. It's about all of us getting together and saying, 'You know what. Let's not talk about old. Let's not talk about new. Let's talk about what is. Let's talk about what's good, what's real, and get behind that and start embracing things that matter because there's history there and not just because it's the next best thing.'”
Apparently, "All Out Life" isn't even as heavy as some of the other new songs are going to be. Taylor told the Des Moines Register in February that the song isn't "nearly as dark and vicious as the rest of the stuff."
Yesterday (April 4), Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson shared an update regarding his contributions to their upcoming album, out August 9. "I'm at the Slipknot studio sessions laying the last of my parts down, as a matter of fact," he said in an Instagram video.
In addition to the album, the band have several major tours coming up over the next few months, including a European run, Knotfest Roadshow with Volbeat, Gojira, Behemoth and a handful of Australian dates with Metallica. See the dates here.
