There is nothing like the holiday season to kick-start your sweet tooth, and thankfully Grand Junction is home to three different locations of Enstrom Candies.

The 'elves' at Enstrom started planning for the holidays in the spring just after the Easter holiday. The Christmas season accounts for about 80% of their business and some of the selections below make it easy to see why they are a Colorado favorite.

You can stop by any of their 3 locations in the Grand Valley to find some of these featured items we can't take our eyes off of. They have a shop at 701 Colorado Ave., another at 120 W. Park Drive and just up the road at 401 Kokopelli Blvd. in Fruita. Just about everything they cook up for the holidays amounts to a Christmas 'home run' for most of the loved ones on your holiday shopping list. While your out looking for gifts and finishing up your holiday shopping, stop by one of Enstrom's locations to take home some of these outstanding treats for the holidays. Let's take a look at what's being prepared right now! Keep in mind so many options from Enstrom's come in sugar-free options so that anyone can enjoy them.

    Almond Toffee Petites

Almond Toffee Petites don't last long down here at the radio station. We had some dropped off last week and sadly, they didn't last but a day or two. Thankfully they come in 60oz - 120 count boxes if you are stocking up for the holidays.

    Peppermint Bark

It's so good it's addictive. Enstrom's Peppermint Bark can be found at the 3 local shops in the Grand Valley and the best part is they started about a week ago on making a gigantic batch to keep up with the demand just weeks before Christmas. Know that if you see this in the stores around Grand Junction that it's about as fresh as can be and ready for holiday munching.

Enstrom's Candy Canes are made the old fashioned way, by hand. You can bet lots of folks have been working on batch after batch of these over the last few weeks. Perfect for hanging on the tree or handing out to your children's classmates, all Enstrom's locations are well stocked so make sure you pick some up. Keep an eye out for the candy canes in peppermint, clove, wintergreen, and cinnamon.

    Buttercream

Some folks wait all year long for Enstrom's Buttercream to come out around the holidays. In fact, buttercream gets two chances to shine all year: Easter and Christmas. Why limit buttercream to a topping on cakes and cupcakes when it can be surrounded by chocolate and the go-to treat at your holiday get together.
