Readers Poll: Who Should Win the Best Metal Performance + Best Rock Album Grammys?
The nominations for the 59th annual Grammy Awards have been revealed and two of the more interesting categories for hard rock and metal lovers are Best Metal Performance and Best Rock Album. And while you don't have a say in who should win the two categories, we're giving you a platform to register your votes.
In the Best Metal Performance category, you've got an interesting mix with the oft-nominated but never victorious Megadeth up for their work on the song "Dystopia," the hugely successful rockers Korn with "Rotting in Vain" and more critical favorites like Baroness for "Shock Me," Gojira for "Silvera" and Periphery for "The Price Is Wrong."
In the Best Rock Album category, there's also an interesting mix where veterans like Blink-182 (California) and Weezer (Weezer) square off against newer acts like Gojira (Magma), Cage the Elephant (Tell Me I'm Pretty) and Panic at the Disco (Death of a Bachelor).
There's no academy of voters making the picks here. This Readers Poll is all yours, so feel free to have your say by voting as much as you would like up through Grammy night eve (Feb. 11 at 11:59PM ET). You can vote once per hour for your favorites, so let us know who you think should win both categories given the nominees named.
