Rattlesnake Activity Up in Lory State Park, What to Do If You See One
Officials at Lory State Park have seen more rattlesnakes than usual lately, so if you happen to see one (or more) on the trails, here's what you should do so you don't get bit because that would be really bad.
The park posted on its Facebook that snake activity has been up recently, and warns hikers to beware because rattlesnakes like to warm up on the road, and you may encounter them while parking, driving or hiking.
However, if you do see one, do not kill it. Lory State Park says that the snakes are protected, and you should give them space and eventually they'll move.
