Governor Polis held a press conference from his residence on Friday, May 8, 2020, where he discussed two new initiatives for Coloradans regarding COVID-19.

He started off the press conference by imploring Coloradans to wear face masks/coverings when out in public. He couldn't stress enough how if we all continue to uphold our current guidelines, the sooner we can all get back to eating in restaurants and seeing ball games.

During the press conference, he also brought up two new websites/initiatives meant to aid businesses and job seekers during the pandemic.

The first is a place for businesses to find tips and resources for reopening and how to handle safety concerns: CanDoColorado.org.

The second is a website for matching healthcare workers seeking employment with facilities that have immediate openings: ConnectToCareJobs.com.

The governor also reminded Coloradans that the 'Safer at Home' procedures prohibit travel into the mountains or gatherings with more than 10 people, regardless of how nice the weekend's weather is.
