Places You Can Soon Walk Around in Grand Junction
With the Colorado 'Stay-at-Home' order being changed to the 'Safer-at-Home' order going into effect on Sunday, Governor Polis has recommended that individuals stay within 10 miles of where they live to keep the number of infected residents at a minimum. Here are some places you can go within that limit in Grand Junction.
1. Lincoln Park
While Stocker Stadium is under construction, its neighbor Lincoln Park can be a fun place to stay six feet away from residents while social distancing.
2. Downtown Grand Junction
The 'Stay-at-Home' order may be lifted this weekend, but that doesn't mean that everything will be back to normal anytime soon. However, while maintaining a six feet distance, a walk down Main Street may prove to be a nice getaway for those that have been cooped up in their house for the last month. Just remember to bring your mask.
3. Mesa Mall
The Mesa Mall is one of the biggest shopping destinations in town, but even though the 'Stay-at-Home' order is being lifted, it's still important to be safe. However, a walk around the mall can be comparable to a walk to the car after a nice day of shopping, and as long as you're six feet away from others, according to experts, it just might be a worthwhile, safe experience.
