Nathan MacKinnon Races a Speed Skater

Colorado Avalanche player Nathan MacKinnon races fellow Canadian and Olympic gold medallist Charles Hamelin. The track challenge is set by the Skate Company CCM and the out come really shouldn’t surprise anyone.

Speed skaters are fast but it takes time for them to build up their speed. That is why they race so many laps in the sport. Hockey players are built for quick bust of speed and in such a short race there was no way the speed skater can win.

MacKinnon is a fast guy but I bet if you put him in the same gear and have him race like a speed skater the Olympic champion would kick his butt around the rink. The really cool part is hockey season is just a couple of days away.
