I was so fortunate to interview hilarious comedian Jim Breuer who is going to be playing The Mesa Theater for two shows on Saturday.

We began the interview talking about the best places to grab food downtown, followed by what he's been doing during the pandemic under quarantine. Jim talked about having small gatherings at his home with his neighbors, as well as supporting local restaurants that were unable to have inside dining, and hugging his grandmother regardless of restrictions that were in place.

He went on to talk about how much of a rock guy he is, including his experiences collaborating with Brian Johnson of AC/DC, opening for Metallica, and how he left the Hollywood scene because he is much more comfortable in the rock scene. According to Breuer, Brian Johnson is a down-to-earth blue-collar guy, who has a great sense of humor.

I then asked about Breuer's time on Saturday Night Live, most notably a sketch with Breuer, Chris Kattan, Will Ferrell, Norm MacDonald, and Pamela Anderson in which Norm got under Kattan's skin from rehearsal to air time.

He then talked about his relationship with Metallica, including how big of a fan of the band he is and his time opening shows for them. Breuer spoke about how nervous he was opening for the band and how Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich treated him very nicely and had his back the entire time.

Jim Breuer will be playing two shows at The Mesa Theater in Grand Junction Saturday, March 27th.
