In honor of Martin Luther King Jr, admission to the National Parks is free on Monday, January 15th.

It's the first National Park free day of 2018. Every year in honor Martin Luther King Jr, you can visit any of nation's National Parks without charge. Here's in Colorado we're blessed with some of the best including Rocky Mountain National Park, the Great Sand Dunes, Mesa Verde, Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, and of course the Colorado National Monument.

The kids are out of school too so you might as well load them up and celebrate the legacy of a great man and enjoy the beauty of the parks. How often do you visit in the winter? Some of the places you have visited many times during the summer look completely different with the snow. It's a different perspective that can make a visit to a familiar place feel like new again.

The next National Park free day isn't until April 21st in honor of National Park Week so take advantage of Monday's special day and help celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.
