Mesa Verde National Park Closes Due to Coronavirus
Mesa Verde National Park has closed due to coronavirus. It's the second national park in Colorado to close in an effort to curb the spread of coronavirus.
Mesa Verde National Park near Cortez is now closed as of yesterday evening, March 25. The closure was announced just a few hours after Governor Jared Polis issued a statewide stay-at-home order, according to the Denver Channel.
There's currently no date set for the reopening of Mesa Verde National Park. The closure includes the main park road and all loop roads. Mesa Verde National Park was closed to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Mesa Verde National Park is the second national park to close in Colorado. The first national park to close in Colorado was Rocky Mountain National Park five days ago.
