Mesa County Sheriff’s Deputy Loses Cancer Battle

A former deputy for the Mesa County Sheriff's deputy, Keith Chadd lost his battle with brain cancer this week. 

In 2015 Chadd was diagnosed with glioblastoma, stage four brain cancer. He would travel to for treatments three times a month to Texas. Keith was the face behind Team K Chadd, a non-profit created to help with medical expenses.

Deputy Chadd was employed by the Mesa County Sheriff's office for 14 years before the grim diagnosis. The family is asking that memorials be made to the hospice center at Hope West.

The Mesa County Sheriff's Office will be walking in this weekend's (June 10 and 11) Relay for Life in honor of Deputy Chadd.
