Denver Man Adopts Cancer Stricken Dog + Internet Falls in Love
A Denver man's adoption of an older shelter dog diagnosed with cancer caused the internet to fall in love with the adorable pair but the excitement isn't just about this guy's kindness.
Sure, it's noble to take on the responsibility of loving and caring for an older dog with cancer.
There will be happy days, days of worry, days of sadness and ultimately the sorrow of losing a friend to the disease. I know because my family has lived through it with one of our beloved dogs.
But that's only part of the internet's love affair with Matt Evans and 9-year-old Donuts, who Matt adopted from the Ark-Valley Humane Society in Buena Vista. What I missed wasn't Matt's compassion, but his good looks.
Ladies, you can forget the guys on the Bachelor, this guy is everything a girl could ever dream of and probably a lot more.
Comments like "Whoa, a good looking guy who cares about dogs! Thank you Matt!" or "Ladies I will keep my eyes out for this duo! I live right on Cheesman Park (Denver)" or this one, "PS on that calendar idea...those are two photo-worthy faces, for real."
Some, like these woman, got straight to the point, "Matt...you seem like a stand-up guy. I'm single, live near Denver and would love to go on a date with you," and "Matt, you are my dream man!! Not only are you gorgeous, but you have adopted a senior dog with cancer, which I have a special place in my heart for as well."
While Matt and Donuts are today's internet darlings you could be next because Ark-Valley Humane Society has plenty more adorable animals ready for adoption.
