[UPDATED] Man Wanted in Alleged Kidnapping Turned Gun on Himself
[UPDATE April 27 @ 11:15 a.m.] The Rifle Police Department is currently conducting a "death investigation" with the help of other area authorities.
[ORIGINAL STORY] Jody Haskins, who was wanted in the alleged kidnapping of 12-year-old Raeanna Rosencrans reportedly turned a gun on himself.
According to NBC 4 in Denver, the Garfield Sheriff's Office confirmed that 47-year-old, Jody Haskins shot himself. He was found around 7:30 a.m. Friday (April 27) near the Rifle Walmart, his condition is unknown.
Luckily, Raeanna was found safe at the Walmart in Rifle late Thursday evening.
The Grand Junction Police Department had issued an arrest warrant for Haskins Thursday (April 26) afternoon.
According to the Grand Junction Sentinel, Jody Haskins has died from his gunshot wound.
