Kitten Gets a Job at Berthoud Fire Department
Last week, the Berthoud Fire Department rescued a tiny kitten out of a tree behind Station 1. The small kitten was removed from the tree and taken to the veterinarian to be evaluated. She is around 5 weeks old and appeared to be a malnourished stray.
Public Information Officer May adopted the kitten and she will be part of the Berthoud Fire Community according to the Facebook post.
This week, the Berthoud Fire Department reports that the kitten is healthy, happy and has a new name, Ember the fire cat.
She also has a new job. Her main duties will be sharing the fire safety message with the community. secondary duties probably include but are not limited to being cute, catching rodents, and enjoying catnip.
