
3 Places in Colorado Will be Paying Much More Than the New Minimum Wage in 2024
Colorado's minimum wage is going up with the start of 2024. Many take issue with that, but there are places in the state that are ready to pay more than the minimum.
It's good for a lot of Coloradans that the minimum wage is once again being adjusted for Colorado; prices on just about everything are going up. Then again, is the price on just about everything going up because of the increase in minimum wage?
When it comes to the subject of minimum wage going up, you can probably hear that one friend of yours saying, "Minimum wage is meant to give you incentive to get a better job."

With Colorado's new minimum wage going into effect in January of 2024, that wage has increased by $7.57/hr. since 2007. According to state records, the minimum wage went down from 2009 to 2010 ($7.28/hr - $7.24/hr.)
WHAT IS COLORADO'S MINIMUM WAGE FOR 2024?
At the start of 2023, the minimum wage in Colorado was $13.65/hr., up nearly one dollar from 2022's $12.56/hr. For 2024, Colorado's minimum wage will increase by .77 to $14.42/hr.

According to the U.S. Labor Department, about 1.5 million Americans work for minimum wage. Though those workers probably wouldn't say that minimum wage is their goal, it is good that those who are getting it will see the increase.

DENVER'S MINIMUM WAGE IN 2024
- $18.29/hr. Up $1 from 2023.
- Tipped employees: $15.27/hr. Also up $1 from 2023.
