New Reality TV Series Follows Colorado Towing Company

Colorado has served as the backdrop for many movies and television shows over the years. From beloved classics such as Dumb and Dumber and True Grit to lighter reality series like The Real World and Dog the Bounty Hunter, camera crews are frequently filming scenes in the Centennial State.

The latest TV show that's set in Colorado is a reality series called Rocky Mountain Wreckers. It's currently being filmed in the small town of Silverthorne and follows as crews ride along with tow truck drivers on the job. According to 9News Denver, the series is set to air 9 months from now and will feature ten 60-minute episodes.

The drivers are employed by one of Colorado's biggest towing companies, Mountain Recovery Towing. Besides seeing them hard at work, viewers will get to know the characters behind the wheel that keep the business running.

Mountain Recovery's service area includes I-70 and many mountainous roads throughout the Rockies. Expect there to be plenty of action in the upcoming series, considering this treacherous region has the most incidents per interstate mile of any interstate in North America.

Not only can Colorado's roads be dangerous at times, but severe weather conditions can also cause major challenges for those traveling throughout the state. The tow truck drivers with Mountain Recovery are often helping people involved in accidents, or whose cars have gone off the road.

In addition to Colorado's Mountain Recovery, towing companies in Wyoming and Utah will also appear on the show. The program will air on the Weather Channel and Discovery Canada sometime in the fall
