Initial Guidelines for Restaurants Reopening for In-Person Dining

Though nothing's official as of yet, the state released its initial guidelines for restaurants in Colorado to have outdoor and indoor dining, once it's allowed.

According to Denver7, Colorado restaurants were sent a PDF file with the guidelines the State of Colorado initially sees as being needed for safely reopening, whether it be for outdoor or indoor dining.

The state sent the list out looking for feedback from the restaurants before making an official set of guidelines, which is expected to be released on Memorial Day (May 25, 2020).

Here are a few of the guidelines from the initial list:

8-feet of separation between dining parties (indoor and outdoor).
No more than six people in any given dining party (indoor and outdoor).
All employees wear safety masks and gloves.
No seating at the bar if food and beverage services happen there.
No 'seat yourself' seating.
No buffet dining.
Reservations strongly suggested, if possible.
Customers to wear masks when passing other tables/customers on the way to the restroom or exiting the restaurant.
No communal games allowed (darts, pool, shuffleboard, board games, etc.).
Restrooms should adhere to a six-foot distancing between patrons.
No employee shift meals, or food brought from home, consumed on-site.
Frequent cleaning and sanitizing of all areas is required.

The state will be going over the feedback received from restaurants to help determine what the exact guidelines will be when the state does allow in-person dining.

None of these guidelines apply to bars in Colorado. That will still need to be addressed.

I'm sure I'm like many: looking forward to visiting our local restaurants once again and wanting restaurants/employees to get back to making money. But I'm very curious as to 'how' it's all going to happen.
