The National Weather Service predicts snow almost every day this week. I'm just glad I don't have to drive a rig through this stuff. What about those who do? Here's a big shout out to all of the truck drivers working out of Western Colorado.

One of our listeners, Steve Harding, from the Western Colorado band Lever Action, sent me these photos last year. Do you remember the snow in the high country back in October 2018? That's what you're looking at here. Steve drives a truck, typically out of the Rifle area. Here's what he had to encounter that morning.

The photos above and were taken at Sylvan Lake in Eagle on October 10, 2018. Seriously... I think I could fly the space shuttle easier than I could drive a big rig. How people drive those things? Backing one up? Forget about it. How about those hauling two or three trailers at a time? Drive one in snow? Ha, ha... very funny.

Take a look at the post below. This gets a resounding "no thank you." The video was recorded on Highway 550 over Molas Pass between Durango and Silverton. Is it just me, or does the rapid-fire windshield wiper action seem a bit unnecessary?

Kudos to you, Western Colorado truck drivers. Thanks for all you do. Please be safe. Personally, I'm hoping for a good, snowy winter. Then again, I don't have to drive a rig. I could walk from my house to the studio, even in the snow. Please take it easy out there.
