I-70 Road Work East of Palisade Will Cause Delays Through Tuesday

If you have to head east out of Palisade onto I-70 early this week, be aware you will not have the joy of traveling at the usual speed limit of 65 mph. Due to road construction/maintenance in the area, expect delays going where you're going.

Here's the affected area where your travel will be slower. Speed limits on this part of I-70 are a low as 45 mph for the sake of the workers safety.

On the other hand, if you love the appearance of orange cones against the canyon walls, you're in for a treat as there are plenty of them at the moment. According to the flashing signs, delays are possible and to be expected through Tuesday, October 20.
