A local hotel is hosting a party for a Grand Junction man's finale on Food Network. Willy Tuz is on the TV show 'Outrageous Pumpkins' and the finale is Sunday.

Willy Tuz is the owner of Colorado Fruit Designs in Grand Junction is what we could consider a master carver. All that playing with his food paid off because Willy is on Food Network's show 'Outrageous Pumpkins.'

A total of seven carvers from all around the country were competing in the show 'Outrageous Pumpkins' on Food Network. Willy is obviously very, very good at what he does because he made it to the final challenge, which airs on Sunday, October 11.

Hotel Maverick is celebrating Willy by hosting a party for him at Devil's Kitchen. They'll be premiering the final episode of Food Network's 'Outrageous Pumpkins' and according to their Facebook event, Willy Tuz 'will be carving up a monstrous good time.'

We spoke with Willy Tuz about the finale and he said that' it's a tremendous honor to be able to represent our Grand Junction community. He also stated that he's so grateful for all the love and support he's been receiving.

Willy says that it's a dream to be a part of the show and now competing in the final challenge with the very best artist in the whole county is a blessing. Some advice from Willy:

Everything is possible. Never give up on your dreams.

The prize for winning the title of Outrageous Pumpkins Champion is $25,000 and we think Willy is going to win it. We're always impressing with the amazing things he carves from pumpkins to watermelons, avocados, ice, and more. Good luck Willy, we're rooting for you -- and so is all of Grand Junction.
