Frustrated with public land big-game hunting?

Let's face it, your chance of bagging a trophy elk or mule deer is much greater on private property. Big-game hunters, here's your chance to access some of Colorado's best hunting lands. Colorado Parks and Wildlife will be taking applications for a limited number of private property elk and mule deer hunts this fall.

CP&W has teamed up with the Collins Mountain Ranch near Meeker, Colorado to create this unique opportunity for hunters. The ranch is in the heart of prime hunting territory. Well known for it's White River mule deer and elk herds. The area's not far. At only about a 2 1/2 hour drive from Grand Junction.

Hunts available for the fall of 2018 include: An unguided antlered/buck deer hunt the second regular rifle season Oct. 20-28, An unguided antlered/bull elk hunt the fourth limited rifle season Nov. 14-18, Three unguided cow elk hunts (three hunters per season below) Latter portion of late, private-land-only rifle season Nov. 19-30, Late rifle December PLO cow elk season Dec. 1-6, Late rifle December PLO cow elk season Dec. 7-12, Late rifle December PLO cow elk season Dec. 13-18
