Don't you hate it when you're trying to eat an elk carcass, but it's frozen? Yeah, this bear does too.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) officers spotted a young bear having trouble eating a frozen elk carcass on Tuesday (October 27) near the East Troublesome Fire.

Instead of moving on, the officers decided to skin the elk for the bear, while he watched from above in nearby tree.

According to a tweet from CPW NW Region, the bear was okay with the extra meal prep due to his young age. A bigger bear wouldn't have needed help with the elk...and might have tried to fight the officers for it.

Thanks to these kind officers, this little guy will now be able to hibernate "full and happy."
