Thinking of heading to Gunnison county? I wouldn't suggest it unless you want to possibly spend some time in the county jail. Gunnison County currently has the strictest COVID-19 regulations in the state of Colorado and if you are not from the county, you could be facing jail time by passing within its boundaries.

The regulations in the county are so strict, that if a resident leaves the county, even just for an errand, they must self isolate in their home for seven days once they return. Homeowners that reside part-time in Gunnison County are being told they can't yet come back to their houses in the county.

Joni Reynolds, Gunnison's County public health director, told Fox31 News that Gunnison County has one of the highest infection rates per capita in the United States.
