Grand Junction Woman Escapes Work Release
A woman sentenced to work release stemming from a DUI conviction has escaped and now the Mesa County Sheriff's Office needs your help finding her.
Tommi Justine Toler, 26, was job searching when she didn't return to the facility at the scheduled time. Toler had started serving her one year sentence with the Alternative Service Unit (ASU), a local jail alternative providing work release on June 4, 2014.
On September 22, a misdemeanor escape warrant and a probation violation warrant was issued for her arrest.
Toler's original charges stemmed from driving under the influence of alcohol (misdemeanor) and vehicular assault while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (felony). For the felony charge, she was given a 4 year deferred sentence.
