Governor Polis Says Colorado Purchased 100K South Korean Tests “On the Down Low”
Governor Polis is proud of Colorado's sneaky decision to order 100,000 COVID-19 tests "on the down low", according to a Facebook post earlier today. Colorado also received hundreds of thousands of surgical masks, gowns, and gloves.
According to Newsweek, the reason for the secrecy is to avoid losing the necessary tests:
Multiple instances of feds seizing state supplies of tests and personal protective equipment have been reported since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Polis said on Friday that Colorado kept their latest shipment hidden because the state did not want to lose the tests to "the competition."
The "competition", according to the Governor, could be other states or other countries.
