I personally have never done it, so I can't confirm this, but skiers claim that a day on the mountain is almost heavenly if pack a few joints in your coat. But you can't really just get high in front of everyone on the mountain, so locals have built "smoke shacks" to sneak away into and get stoned. One of the more popular shacks in Breckenridge is now no longer...

Leo’s Smoke Shack was a loosely guarded secret to people who wanted to blaze and ski at Breck. Built by locals, it was buried deep in the woods, far away from anyone who didn’t know where to look for it.

But when it was featured on as the subject of an episode of Inside Edition, it was no longer a secret and thus was blown up!...

Breckenridge Resort says if personnel find other smoke shacks, they’ll be destroyed as well. Smoking marijuana on federal land at a ski area in Colorado remains illegal. So, if you like your little smoke shack, you probably better keep that thing a secret!!
