The Tim Tebow era is now over in New York, the Jets released the former Broncos quarterback today. The Heisman Trophy winner attempted just eight passes, threw for 39 yards and rushed 32 times for 102 yards - and stunningly had no touchdowns as a member of the Jets. The Denver Broncos traded Tebow in March 2012 after signing Payton Manning in the off-season.

The New York Jets coach Rex Ryan said. "Unfortunately, things did not work out the way we all had hoped. Tim is an extremely hard worker; evident by the shape he came back in this offseason. We wish him the best moving forward." The Jets drafted Geno Smith in the second round this year, which made Tebow the low man on the roster. After the release of Tim Tebow, the Jets still have five quarterbacks to look at in the offseason. There has been commit from Tim Tebow at this time.
