Mention Food Truck Fridays, and the ears of the hungry immediately perk up. Grand Junction loves Food Truck Fridays.

If your ears are perking up right now, that means you are interested in a special Food Truck Friday event coming up on October 16. The City of Grand Junction is having a celebration and you are invited.

The big celebration is about improvements that have been made to the Lunch Loop Trailhead on Monument Road.

Earlier this year, the Lunch Loop Trailhead was connected to the Riverfront Trail, which was a very exciting development. Now, improvements to the Lunch Loop Trailhead have been completed including a trailer specific parking area along Monument Road, plus curb, gutter and asphalt and concrete paving around the existing bathrooms.

If you haven't been to the Lunch Loop lately,  you need to check it out. It really looks nice.

To celebrate the completion of this project for Grand Junction's outdoor enthusiasts, the city of Grand Junction is hosting a Food Truck Friday event at the trailhead on Friday, October 16 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. They'll have food trucks lined up in the trailer parking area. As you would expect, safety elements will be in place for those who attend.  Masks are required, guests will register when they arrive, handwashing stations will be available, and social distancing is encouraged.

Your food options for the night will include Colorado Q, LLC, The Little Pink Truck, GJ Fusion, and Los Compadres. Plus there may be a food truck for sweets.

This is a great opportunity to enjoy some delicious food and to see some of the good things that are happening in Grand Junction. The completion of the project wraps up about three years of planning and work efforts and is definitely worth celebrating.
