Florida Teen Rides Whale Shark

Floridateen Chris Kreis was on a fishing trip in theGulf of Mexicowhen a whale shark came by the boat, so he jumped in and took a ride. How cool is that? I have been fishing in the Gulf and I will say that was pretty cool. This is a ten on the cool scale in my book.

The whale shark is a 30-foot 50,000-pound monster but there is no cause for alarm. The animal is a filter feeder and only preys on plankton and small fish. Kreis was in no danger of being eaten.

I don’t think he hurt the animal any. He didn’t jump on it and just swam up and took a ride. I will say, I think he spooked the whale shark when he got on its back. Still, what a cool appearance to have on a fishing trip.
