Florida Man Chases Neighbor with Machete

An Okeechobee man was arrested Sunday after deputies said he charged at his neighbor with a machete. 68-year-old Javier Alvarado Esquivel told them he was angry because he watched his neighbor take his favorite chicken from his coop.

According to the incident report, the victim "grabbed a stick off the ground and hit Javier in the head with it." The victim "then grabbed the machete from Javier and ran inside his house with his family and locked the door."
A woman who lives with Esquivel didn’t’ just attack the man. She says "The man next door ... has been stealing my chickens for a long time," and she said Esquivel caught their neighbor stealing the chicken. That is one tough way to get a little yard bird.
