Fishing or Hunting License Required to Use Loma Boat Launch
A fishing or hunting license will be required to use the Loma Boat Launch starting July 1. This is one of many new locations in Colorado that will require a license.
Things are changing in Colorado, there are approximately 600 new places in Colorado where a fishing or hunting license will be required, including the Loma Boat Launch. A fishing or hunting license will be required at Loma Boat Launch starting on July 1.
Anyone who is 18 or older will require a hunting or fishing license, regardless of what they planning on doing on the river. The 600 places or so that will require a hunting or fishing license consist of over 350 state wildlife areas and about 240 state trust lands.
According to the Daily Sentinel, a spokesperson from Colorado Parks and Wildlife states that the two reasons for doing this are:
- To make sure wildlife is able to live in wildlife areas
- To make sure people can keep enjoying and supporting the places they are using for recreation
There are different options when it comes to fishing and hunting licenses, like day licenses, five-day licenses, annual licenses, fishing, and small game combo licenses, and more.
