We all know it was just a matter of time, and sure enough the time has come for the first ever 420-friendly event in Grand Junction.

It was back in April that Denver hosted the 'official' 420 Rally - a two-day event that celebrated pot- and pegged a 'Cannabis Culture Music Festival.' Now, the western slope will get it's own event.

According to KJCT 8, the Melrose Hotel, recognized as the first marijuana-friendly hotel in Grand Junction, will host the Canna Ball on September 26th.

There will be speakers touting the pros and cons of hemp, cooking demonstrations, and smoking will be allowed on the patio -- this is a BYOC event (Bring Your Own Cannabis).

The event is open to those 21 and older, and although this is not a Halloween event, masks will be provided for those that wish to conceal their identity.

Would you attend such an event? If you did go, would you want to hide your true identity? Would you be worried about an employer finding out and possibly losing your job?
