It's the 18th year for the event, which will take place Aug. 7-8 in Birch Run, Mich. Atop the bill are Down and Coal Chamber. Check out a video above for the lineup announcement.

Also on the bill for this year's Dirt Fest are Pop Evil, Kottonmouth Kings, Fear Factory, Periphery, Mushroomhead, King 810, Upon A Burning Body, Starset, Murder FM, Psychostick and many more.

Coal Chamber, who will be headlining Friday, Aug. 7, have a new album Rivals set for a May 19 release. In a recent interview with Skullnbones, frontman Dez Fafara talked about how the new album, the band's first since 2002, came about.

"We starting talking in 2006 about doing this again, and in 2009 we actually demoed two songs, but they just weren’t anything new," Fafara says. "It sounded like old Coal Chamber, which is the last thing we wanted to do, so we didn’t move forward with it."

Fafara continues, "When we did the Soundwave Festival in Australia I got to hear some riffs that [Meegs] was working on, and the s--t blew me away. One was 'Light in the Shadows,' which is on the album, and once I heard that, I was down. I wanted to be a part of it that second. From that point on, we just waited until we all had the time, and it felt right, and we made Rivals happen man."
