Everything You Need to Know About DIA’s Creepy ‘Blucifer’ Statue
Growing up in Colorado, I'd heard about Stapleton Airport but the first time I boarded a plane was at the newly-finished Denver International Airport.
Since then I've taken many flights out of the airport and if you've been there before you'll probably agree with me when I say that it's not the most normal airport in the world.
It's filled with weird murals, a security checkpoint that I refer to as 'the mosh pit,' as well as all kinds of conspiracies surrounding not only its construction but what has been going on in the massive airport since.
However, one thing that has always piqued my interest and has stuck out to me regarding the airport is the giant, blue horse statue leading up to the airport that many of us Coloradans refer to as "Blucifer."
Unfortunately, the artist that created the now well-known statue was killed by his creation when a piece of the statue fell on him.
However, 'Blucifer' still stands outside of DIA and has quite the story.
