If you are looking for a big fireworks show in western Colorado, it looks like Delta is the place to be.

The Delta Fire Department announced it has been given approval by the City of Delta and Delta County to put on a fireworks show. The show will take place at Confluence Park.

With the and annual fireworks displays in Grand Junction and Fruita being canceled, Delta looks like the hotspot this year for a traditional fireworks show in western Colorado.

The fireworks show in Delta will cost between $18,000 and $20,000 and is completely funded by donations. Consequently, the Delta Fire Department is hoping the local community and those from surrounding communities who will attend the show, will help support the cause financially.

Normally, the fire department is out and about collecting donations, but due to COVID-19, they have not been able to do that this year. Instead, they are asking folks to visit their website and make a donation to the fireworks fund.

Considering all of the events that aren't happening in western Colorado this is big and exciting news for Delta and surrounding communities.
