Many people are not happy here on the Western Slope that they have to start paying a $4 dollar fee to ride or walk through the park.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife started charging a walk and bike fee on January 1.

According to WPC, several people believe that their tax dollars go towards upkeeping the parks but apparently that's not the case.

The hope is that those in the park take better care of the park if they have to pay a fee.

It's sad that it's come to this point where you can't even take a walk in the park without paying a fee, really?

The beauty of living in Colorado is the outdoors and breathing the fresh here on the Western Slope.

I kind of feel the same frustration as others, what about the lottery? Isn't that money going towards parks?

Time to start asking questions and find out really what this all about.
