Double Fine Productions is proving yet again that an RPG can have its fair share of tricks and treats.

Polygon reports that Double Fine Productions will be releasing the first official sequel it has ever made. While many of its games have been spiritual successors to previous works, Costume Quest 2 is taking up the cape and mask to celebrate Halloween in a RPG fashion one more time. Costume Quest 2 stars twins Wren and Reynold as they must don Halloween costumes that give them superpowers in order to fight the evil Grubbings.

Taking place immediately after the original game's Grubbin's on Ice downloadable content, Costume Quest 2 moves the series' candy corn-flavored role-playing to Louisiana. There have been numerous improvements and changes to Costume Quest's turn-based battles, a variety of new quest types introduced, more collectibles added, and much more polish this time around, indicating that Double Fine has been listening to its critics.

Be prepared to dress up as the Clown, the Pterodactyl, the Superhero, the Candy Corn along with other empowering costumes when Costume Quest 2 comes out for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One this Halloween.
