As part of Workforce Development Month, the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment is introducing a new app to help employers and job seekers connect with each other.

The app is designed to make mobile navigation of Colorado's job database, ConnectingColorado.com, quick and easy.

This new app is an effort to provide employers with the latest tools to help them recruit employees, and assist job seekers by making their search for employment more efficient.

The app can be downloaded from iTunes or Google Play depending on the phone and operating system.

In addition to the new mobile app, ConnectingColorado.com, the state's largest database for jobs, has a micro-site, coworkforce-technology.jobs, that allows a job seeker to find openings in technology. The micro-site lets users filter by location, title, and keyword to target the specific type of technology job they are looking for.

Other industry specific sites for Energy, Healthcare, and Advanced Manufacturing are now available.

Colorado job seekers needing assistance with the websites, app, or who have questions about skills needed for a particular job or career are encouraged to contact their nearest Workforce Center.
