A brand new drive-through experience coming to Colorado is bound to elevate anyone's holiday season.

America's highest suspension bridge spans the Royal Gorge, connecting two twoers, nearly one thousand feet above the Arkansas River. Beginning in mid-November, the Royal Gorge Bridge will be transforming into a drive-through holiday lights display.

Visitors will be invited to drive across the bridge, which will be decked out with thousands of twinkling lights. The festive nighttime display will also feature holiday music, playing on the park-wide sound system for all to enjoy. Tickets will cost $40 per vehicle at the gate or $35 if purchased ahead of time online. The entry fee includes a hot cocoa or cider drink to stay warm, a souvenir cup, and holiday cookies. Other snacks are also available for purchase.

The opportunity to drive across the Royal Gorge Bridge doesn't come about very often, which makes this event even more special. Traffic will be directed in a one-way pattern to view the display, with a maximum speed of 10 miles per hour allowed. Guests must remain in their vehicles but are able to briefly stop to take in each

The crew behind the Bridge of Lights hopes to make this seasonal event a tradition for years to come.

The bright and cheerful display will run from 5:30-9:30 p.m. on November 18-27, December 1-4, 8-11, and 15-31(with the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas).
