It's no secret that the state of Colorado is famous for its natural beauty. The state is quite literally divided in half by the Continental Divide, which is where you'll find some of the most gorgeous parts.

This part of Colorado features magnificent mountains, lush foliage, and everything else that comes with an elevation of over 10,000 feet.

However, it's also no secret that getting to some of these places is not for the faint of heart. Often times the roads are made from dirt, have a steep grade, and it's not out of the ordinary to find obstacles such as fallen rocks and trees in the way.

Despite these challenges, the scariest parts of many of these high country roads are the dropoffs which can amount to hundreds of feet and if you're not careful, one mistake could take you and your vehicle down every one of them.

That being said, let's take a virtual tour of one of these magnificent trips that truly shows off Colorado's natural beauty, the Teller Divide.

In case you're not familiar, Teller Divide is a portion of the Continental Divide west of Estes Park, Colorado just down the road from the small town of Gould.

Perhaps you've heard of the abandoned ghost town of Teller City, which is close by, but the drive over the divide is much more exciting than any ordinary ghost town.

It's recommended that if you plan on taking a trip over Teller Divide, you'll want to make sure to have a four-wheel drive vehicle and exercise a lot of caution, but in the meantime, you can take a virtual trip below:
