Colorado Springs Nearly Blown Away from Hurricane-Force Winds
Mother Nature had it out for Colorado today (Jan. 9). The western side of the state became layered in ice causing multiple accidents and slow travel. While much of the eastern side of the state was being better by hurricane force winds.
Colorado Springs took a beating from winds on Monday (Jan. 9) ripping trees from the ground, blowing roofs off buildings and tipping over high-profile vehicles. So much so, the Colorado State Patrol banned high-profile vehicles -- semis, busses, etc. -- from traveling in El Paso County. I-25 was also closed to commercial traffic to the New Mexico border.
We scoured the interwebs to see what type of videos and photos we could find of the damage, and let's just say, WOW!
Be safe, Colorado Springs.
