2 Colorado Kids Killed in Shooting, Police Arrest 2 Teen Suspects
A fatal shooting took the lives of two young boys and now Colorado law enforcement has captured who they believe to be responsible.
According to a press release from the Colorado Springs Police Department, CSPD detectives arrested 19-year-old Kadin Blaschke in Reno, Nevada, and an unnamed 17-year-old who is a resident of Colorado Springs. Both were arrested for two counts of murder in the second degree
Colorado Springs Shooting
In the early hours of January 9, the Colorado Springs Police Department received multiple calls about shots fired in the 1900 block of South Chelton Road in Colorado Springs.
Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered two adults and one juvenile suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers also found two young males who had already died from their wounds.
Just a short time later, CSPD received a call from a private residence reporting a juvenile who was also appeared to be suffering from gunshot wounds as well.
After investigating, officers concluded that the juvenile had been involved in the shooting on South Chelton.
Colorado Springs Shooting Victims
The victims of this horrific crime have been identified as 13-year-old Marcus Venezio-Hernandez and 15-year-old Nevean Tafoya, both residents of Pueblo, Colorado.
Colorado police have not found a motive for this shooting at this time, but have stated that 16 bullet holes were found in the vehicle the victims were traveling in.
