Add the Colorado Snowcat Jamboree to Your Winter Bucket List
If you've been around ski resorts enough, you probably know what a snowcat is. Snowcats are found all over Colorado ski mountains and are pretty magnificent machines.
They climb up the slopes like it's no big deal, and are pretty much the ultimate all-terrain vehicle when it comes to ski mountains.
However, did you know that there is an event in Colorado in which snowcats aren't used for patrolling the slopes, but instead they are cruised around in for fun?
Keep scrolling to learn more about it, and take a virtual tour of Colorado's very unique Snowcat Jamboree.
The Colorado Snowcat Jamboree

Organized by Snowcat Inc., the Colorado Snowcat Jamboree is held in the very snowy Ptarmigan Pass just south of Vail, usually in March. However, it appears that the last event was in 2022, so it's possible that it didn't happen this year.
Regardless, the Colorado Snowcat Jamboree looks like one of the most fun ski-related events in history, minus the skis.
Last year's event saw a mob of snowcats, snowmobiles, and their drivers gather at an otherwise untouched ski mountain's base, but they didn't stay there for long.
The snowcats cruised up and down mountains, as they're known to do, and snowmobiles followed suit.
Snowcats that were present ranged from pretty modest-sized, to enormous. Some had custom paint jobs, some resembled ATVs, but every snowcat driver and attendee appeared to be having the time of their lives.
Hopefully, the event will return next year, but in the meantime take a look at what it was like to attend the 2022 Colorado Snowcat Jamboree:
