Breckenridge and Keystone are set to open this week!

After last years lower snow and attendance totals, Colorado ski resorts are hoping things will turn around this year. We'll see what the season holds but for now they're off to a fast start!

After this weekends snowstorm added more to an impressive early 4-foot total, Breckenridge and Keystone both announced they'll open this Wednesday, November 7th. That's 2 days ahead of schedule and the first time in nearly a decade they've opened this early!

The new snow totals also mean increased access to more terrain. If you're a fan and can skip out of work, head on up. The BreckConnect Gondola at Breckenridge is scheduled to start hauling skiers from town up to Peak 8 at 8 AM Wednesday. An hour later at 9, the Colorado SuperChair and Rip’s Ride will start running.

More terrain openings are expected to be announced later this week. The next resort scheduled to open is Winter Park next Wednesday, November 14th and Copper Mountain on Friday the 16th.
