Colorado Ski Resort Opening for Spring Skiing May 27
Arapahoe Basin announced that they are planning a limited reopening on Wednesday (May 27) after being closed since March because of COVID-19.
Arapahoe Basin is starting off slow by requiring reservations and only selling a limited number of lift tickets. Now, the only way to get a lift ticket is if you already have an A-Basin season pass, any day passes, an Ikon Pass or a Mountain Collective Pass.
The ski resort called the opportunity to reopen extraordinary. They went on to say that if you visit, social distancing guidelines and rules by Summit County and the State of Colorado must be followed.
Alan Henceroth, the resort's chief operating officer, took to his blog to comment on the Basin's reopening:
I am so excited we can offer the "A-Basin Tribe" a chance to ski and ride again this season. This will be cool.
